Shanna Haffner, LAC

Therapist

Shanna Haffner is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She works with adults who want to understand their story, heal long‑standing patterns, and build relationships that feel steady, reciprocal, and authentic. Her years in the restaurant industry shaped her appreciation for how people seek connection, safety, and belonging, and that insight continues to guide her clinical work. Shanna believes healing begins within a secure, attuned therapeutic relationship where clients feel deeply understood as they explore the emotional patterns and relational templates that have influenced their lives.

Grounded in attachment‑based therapy and psychodynamic exploration, Shanna helps clients trace how early relationships and internal working models shape present‑day patterns of connection, protection, and self‑understanding. She integrates trauma‑informed stabilization, parts work, somatic awareness, and emotion‑focused therapy (EFT) to support clients in noticing how the body carries emotional memory and how emotions can be processed with clarity and compassion. When structured emotional processing is helpful, Shanna incorporates mindfulness‑based practices to support grounding, presence, and self‑attunement. Whether in individual therapy or experiential group work, her goal is to create spaces where clients feel supported, empowered, and able to grow with honesty and confidence, reconnecting with their inner voice and developing secure, meaningful connections that support a grounded and expansive life.
