Jonnell Heron is a Licensed Social Worker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from William Paterson University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kean University. She specializes in individual counseling and is deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for her clients.
Jonnell has experience supporting individuals through a wide range of challenges, including career counseling, school-related stressors, life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and managing life’s everyday stressors. One of her greatest passions is working with clients navigating pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum experiences—offering compassionate care during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative times.
Jonnell believes that therapy should always center around the client. She values the importance of building a strong, collaborative relationship, where the client feels heard, understood, and actively involved in their own growth. Her approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and trust.
Her therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, which she tailors to meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
