Intensive In-Community (IIC) Therapist

A Freeman's Place Counseling, LLC is expanding! In addition to our outpatient services, we offer in-home

counseling through the Children's System of Care (CSOC). Currently, we are looking for diverse, skilled,

compassionate, and motivated licensed clinicians with at least 5 years of experience working with children and

families. Therapists are required to offer weekly sessions to children and families in the home setting.

Specifically, we are looking for therapists who can work in MIDDLESEX, MERCER, and PASSAIC counties.

Therapist must:

  • Have a valid NJ clinical license; LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC

  • Meet with children and family in the home setting or the community on a regular basis (weekly)

  • Have a valid NJ driver's license with a properly insured vehicle

  • Have liability insurance of 1 million/3 million

  • Take on a minimum of 20 clients per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and family counseling weekly in a professional manner.

  • Provide clinically appropriate treatment based on mental health assessment and treatment plans.

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to clients as scheduled.

  • Provide services and conduct oneself in a manner consistent with the professional Code of Ethics.

  • Complete timely and accurate documentation including treatment plans, initial assessments, progress

notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Complete clinical documentation within the same day of service (progress notes to be completed after each

session; initial assessment and treatment plan completed within 72 hours of the date of service).

Requirements:

  • A valid and active LAC, LSW, LCSW, or LPC license in the state of New Jersey is required.

  • A valid NJ driver’s license with a properly insured vehicle.

  • Master's Degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Social Work, or mental-health related field (Preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in direct practice with clients required.

  • Minimum of 20 clients per week is a must.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients.

  • Must be compassionate, personable, and have exceptional active listening skills.

Note: This position requires all in-home counseling sessions to be performed in the client’s home.
